Want to make slime at home, easily and without weird chemicals?
Here’s a super-simple recipe using baking soda. Get ready to have fun and stretch this slime in all directions!
What you need:
Transparent or white liquid glue
(classic school glue)
1 tablespoon baking soda
(our super star)
2 to 3 tablespoons contact lens solution
(essential for the right texture)
Food coloring
(optional, but it's more fun with color!)
Sequins
(if you want a glowing slime)
How to make it:
Pour the glue:
Pour the liquid glue into a bowl. This is the base of your slime, so choose a good quantity (± 200 ml) according to the size you want.
Add the baking soda:
Add 1 tablespoon baking soda to the glue. Mix well until the baking soda is completely dissolved. This is starting to get interesting!
Customize your slime (optional) :
Add a few drops of food coloring to give your slime some color, and glitter if you want a shiny effect. Mix well to distribute everything evenly.
Add lens solution:
Pour in 2 to 3 tablespoons of contact lens solution. Mix well. You’ll see the texture start to change and become… gooey!
Kneading slime:
When the texture becomes firmer, take the slime out of the bowl and start kneading it with your hands. The more you knead it, the more elastic it becomes!
Tips :
If the slime is too sticky, add a little more lens solution until you reach the desired consistency.
Keep your slime in an airtight tin so it doesn’t dry out. It will keep for several days!
There you go! A safe and fun homemade slime that you can stretch, twist and knead to your heart’s content!
